Enhancement of core Templates plugin: Move to folder

Use case or problem

I heavily use templates for my different kinds of notes. Although I try to use folders as little as possible, as top-down-thinker however, I have for every type of note an own folder.

So why not combine the two workflows

• adding properties
• moving file to template-specific folder?

Current workaround (optional)

Right now I use templater to accomplish this (see templater script here)

Unfortunately there are a few disadvantages with this templater-workaround:

• templater script will not automatically be updated, when global properties are updated
• if there are a lot of properties in the template, the templater script gets very big and confusing

Why not adding this little feature “moving to template-specific folder” to the core Templates plugin?

Introduce preset/user definable variables system

I think some kind of preset and/or user definable variables will be a great addition to growing Obsidian possibilities. Example of preset variables: UName = user account name Date = current date Time = current time Title = current note name etc It will be good to give user a way to define it’s own variables. (Special GUI needed? Or just a quick config-file setup.) There should be a special syntax to expand variables. Something like this: [%Date%] Thoughts? Let’s brainstorm this!

Use case or problem I have many folders and each of them has its own unique setup, with the same backlinks and tags consistently throughout all documents in that folder. Use case or problem: This is more general request than Use H1 or front-matter title instead of or in addition to filename as display name. Create zettelkasten note inline

I can’t seem to find documentation on how to do it if it’s already a feature but are we able to create a zettelkasten note inline? I know I can create a new note with [[some note]] but is it possible to generate a zettelkasten note inline (with the id)?
