Hi, I like to use my notifications bar on the macbook with some widgets, is there anything like in the image below just like the reminder widget (if not, how should I start building something like this?):
What do you want in the widget — a list of notes?
These would be useful.
Latest notes (with tag selector)

This is more sexy than useful:

macOS Sonoma has widgets, see Add and customize widgets on Mac - Apple Support
Widgets from iOS 17 transfer to mac (see the link).
Some earlier widget customization on iOS:
As some have showcased on this forum already, I’ve been using iOS Shortcuts to have nice home screen icons straight to a variety of places and actions within Obsidian:

Each of those shortcuts opens an Obsidian URI (I use the Advanced URI plugin , which gives us deeplinks for opening specific notes, creating new ones, running commands, etc).
For example:
Open note launches Obsidian into the Quick switcher with the command URI obsidian://advanced-uri?vault=Spirit&commandid=switcher%2…
Feature requests about iOS widgets (possible duplicates):
I’d love to see a new_txt / new_audio_recording buttons on the iOS widget screen similar to 1Writer.

Use case or problem
Whenever I get a thought, that there is something I want to do later and my laptop is not nearby, I open Obsidian on my iPhone. Immediately, my daily note is displayed and I can add a todo or task. To open the app, I have to unlock my phone and navigate to the app.
Proposed solution
A simple lock screen widget, that opens the app directly. This would reduce the navigation overhead when writing down short notes and make the process more seamless.
The recent addition of widgets for Bear made me wish I could have daily notes from obsidian in a widget on my iOS homescreen.
I currently use 1writer with Dropbox to manage my Obsidian vault from iOS, but it doesn’t support widgets (yet).
Do you guys know of any way to create a widget that pulls in the content of the daily note of the current day? Preferably rendered markdown, but plaintext would be awesome too.
Android has duplicate feature requests about widgets as well. @CawlinTeffid
Hey, I made exactly what OP requests at github (dot) com/elo-siema/widget-daily-note
“Widgets from iOS 17 transfer to mac (see the link).”
They don’t transfer, they’re just available. If you click on an iOS widget on macOS, it opens in the iPhone Mirroring app. If your phone is not in range, then you get an error, which doesn’t really matter because the widget is not updating anyway unless your phone is near your Mac.
Not a solution.

Not a solution
Particularly as iPhone widgets are regarded as a security risk by security conscious firms, and can be blocked entirely on company-managed Macs.
Precisely why I have disabled using iPhone widgets on my Mac.
