Better In-File Media Handling

I’m moving this to Help because it is multiple features in a single request, which makes it hard for the team to track. Requests already exist for some of them.

Adjusting the size of images is too inconvenient, …

This will change soon (has changed already in early access versions): “Images in Live Preview can now be resized by dragging from the corner. Double-click the corner to reset the image size.” (Obsidian 1.12.0 Desktop (Early access) - Obsidian)

• When you need to view an image in more detail, you have to open it in a third-party image viewer and view it there.

On mobile you can view embedded images larger: tap the image, then pinch and zoom. It doesn’t work when viewing an image file directly (Zoom image outside a note (when viewing the file directly)) or on desktop (Zoom/enlarge images in desktop version).

• Moving images, like any other blocks in Obsidian, is also inconvenient – there is a noticeable lack of Drag & Drop for the graphic “handle”.

I don’t see a request for this yet. I recommend searching more thoroughly than I did, then post a request if you don’t find one.
