Syntax highlighting is broken for block quotes in bulleted lists

Steps to reproduce

Create a block quote (put > at the start of the line). Observe that in the editor view, the quoted text is highlighted. Now make the block quote part of a bulleted list (put a - before the >).

Expected result

The blockquote highlighting should be preserved

Actual result

The text is highlighted as normal text rather than as a quote

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Obsidian version: v0.6.2
  • Using custom CSS: no

Let me know if you still have this problem in 0.6.5.

I do still have this issue in 0.6.5
(It’s a very minor issue, definitely not high priority, just an annoyance)

Present in 0.8.11. Note that I didn’t notice it before but also wasn’t using quote lists as often.

This seems to still be a problem in Feb 2022. Affects cross-compatibility of md files if using Logseq (to the right) as well.

(Funny that I’m using a quote arguing for the use of Roam - these are notes from a podcast)

Since the introduction of LP, this was turned into a feature request.
