Note just disappeared and closed

Hi there I searched and found something similar happened to a few people but I tried file recovery and the note isnt there. (Obsidian deleted a file - it is not in trash ; Disappearing note; how to recover?)

I had a note that meant a lot to me and I’ve been referencing to it in other notes and in a canvas as well. Today I tried to access the note and for some reason I see that the note “could not be found”.

Please help, I am freaking out. started using Obsidian because of its offline storage but quickly filled by iCloud and decided to move all the files and the vault to google drive. All the files were there, and today when I looked, I found a few files had been added to trash, but I didnt delete them.
Last week I signed up for obsidian sync and now im not really sure where my notes are kept- I did this in order to have obsidian work on my iPhone and the MacBook but without the limitations of iCloud space.
Now I see that the note has vanished.
I would just like to safely get my note back, and if someone could please advise:
I signed up for obsidian sync to support the project, but does this happen with obsidian sync? if so, im happy to sign up for iCloud plus instead and just continue without obsidian sync. I dont want to lose my notes

What I’m trying to do

Im trying to find a note that has disappeared. im not sure if there are others

Things I have tried

file recovery plugin- file is not showing up
search on google drive (where the vault was hosted before I signed up for Obsidian Sync)
Search on my MacBook (where the vault was hosted before I moved the entire folder to google drive
Disconnected from the managed vault and turned off sync until I can see why notes are disappearing and where to find them

Also saw this forum post but file recovery isnt finding the note: Note closed and disappeared just like that

I hope you found your note again. I had a similar issue, used all the tools, but it just showed up on its own. It may have been an iCloud syncing issue for me; it shouldn’t be happening on Obsidian Sync, I wouldn’t think.

I would very regularly back up notes on Obsidian, because this can, very rarely, happen.
