Italics parenthesis *()* shortcut

What I’m trying to do

I want to create a shortcut like making text bold Ctrl+B , italic Ctrl+I But for having italic parenthesis like this *()*

could handle that.

A somewhat more advanced way would be to:

  • Add rules through the Apply Patterns plugin;
  • Add the command to the pattern created in the same plugin;
  • Assign a hotkey to the AP command or place the AP command on an Editing Toolbar custom icon.

(If there more plugins involved, the commands can be merged into mini-programs or macros in the Commander plugin.)

This way one can create all kinds of custom functions.
