iCloud Sync Disappearing Files

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to use iCloud Sync between my iPhone and Macbook. I am noticing that when using Obsidian on my macbook a problem occurs: The content of the note I am working on will suddenly disappear; the only way to retrieve is to do CMD + Z for undo.

I would like to continue using iCloud Sync between these devices without this issue.

Things I have tried

I searched the forums for solutions, others have reported disabling iCloud sync can resolve the issue but that contradicts my goal.

For starters, make sure Optimize Mac Storage is disabled in the iCloud Drive settings.

Obsidian doesn’t like files being removed randomly by iCloud Drive.

It may be something else, but that’s something to check first.
