Add select word hotkey

Duplicate Line(s) Keyboard Shortcut

I humbly submit cmd + shift + D as a keyboard shortcut to duplicate the current line, or the currently selected lines. This is a code editor shortcut that comes in handy for me when taking notes. Any other variant would work. I’d prefer cmd + D, but as I’ve discovered that’s a command to delete the current line. Thanks to the Obsidian team!

New Line Shortcut

Hello, Would be nice to have a shortcut to drop to a new line in the editor. Example (taken from VSCode): Cmd/Ctrl + Enter for inserting a line below the current line and Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Enter for the same above the current line.

Change case options on keyboard shortcut for ALLCAPS, Title Case, lowercase, Sentence case

This is something I implement in any app I use for writing immediately. I usually Superkey + # (1-4) to get these universally on apps in Mac OS. But it requires that the particular apps allow for that functionality. Otherwise the shortcut doesn’t do anything. That’s what I’m experiencing in Obsidian — just a complete lack of the very basic ability to change or toggle between case types. Vim keybindings sound nice, but I don’t use vim. Can VS Code keybindings come to Obsidian? VS Code has some exhaustive, platform-specific references here. Alternatively, you can expose a keybinding API with the plugins.

Add commands for navigation - cursor-right, left, up, down, etc

As asked here - How do you bind hotkeys to cursor movement? Use case or problem I navigate using cmd+ijkl in Emacs and vscode, and would like to do so in Obsidian also. My down arrow key doesn’t work very well. Proposed solution Expose cursor movement commands so can bind keys to them. Could follow vscode conventions for command names - eg cursorDown, cursorRight, cursorWordLeft, cursorPageEnd, cursorTop, etc. search ‘cursor’ in Keyboard Shortcuts for all of them.

Use case or problem I’m a dev and normally use Sublime Text, so the use of shortcuts to manipulate the content fast is a must nowadays. Choose just a sentence or just a paragraph

Hello, developers! Can you add a new feature that allows us to choose the single sentence or a single paragraph where the cursor is? Like the feature in Typora, when I click Ctrl+L, I can just choose a sentence where the cursor is. And when I click Ctrl+E, I can just choose a paragraph where the cursor is. Disable Ctrl-X / Cmd-X cut unselected paragraph

In Windows 10 and possibly other environments, Ctrl-X cuts the current paragraph that the cursor is in, even if no text is selected. This is a non-standard shortcut that can accidentally obliterate paragraphs without the user even realizing what happened, so there should be a toggle to optionally turn it off. Maybe turn it into a Hotkey?
