Use case or problem Currently the Android app has no widget support. Adding a few basic widgets would be immensely helpful for quicker access to high-use notes and help with overall app usability. Add a widget shortcut on the lock screen for IOS devices

Use case or problem Add a widget shortcut on the lock screen for IOS devices. The ability to open obsidian or create a new note right as you open your mobile. Proposed solution For IOS devices, in the bottom part of the available spaces to add variable size shortcuts to the app. Something like create a new note or continue adding to a favourite note etc.

Simple iOS lock screen widget

Use case or problem Whenever I get a thought, that there is something I want to do later and my laptop is not nearby, I open Obsidian on my iPhone. Immediately, my daily note is displayed and I can add a todo or task. To open the app, I have to unlock my phone and navigate to the app. Proposed solution A simple lock screen widget, that opens the app directly. This would reduce the navigation overhead when writing down short notes and make the process more seamless.

Perhaps a few can be combined. I’ll take a closer look at them later.
