Embedded Bases table shows 4 results in Live Preview but 1 in Reading view; reopening the note fixes it

Steps to reproduce

The initial trigger is unknown. These steps reproduce the discrepancy once the existing tab is in the affected state; they are not a confirmed reproduction from a fresh vault.

  1. Keep the affected Markdown dashboard open in its existing pinned tab. It contains a base code block inside an expanded callout, with a date filter for yesterday and today.
  2. In Live Preview, the table reports four matching notes and displays four rows.
  3. Switch that same tab to Reading view. The table reports one result and displays one row. The callout is expanded, and there is no rendering error.
  4. Switch back to Live Preview. All four results are present again.
  5. Open the same Markdown file in a new tab, in Reading view. It reports four results and displays all four rows, without editing the file or query.

Did you read and follow the Troubleshooting Guide? [Yes/No]

No. I have reproduced this in an existing vault with community plugins and CSS snippets enabled, but have not tested in a Sandbox Vault or with those disabled. I do not yet have a minimal reproduction of the initial affected state.

Expected result

The same table definition and current note metadata should return the same four results in Live Preview and Reading view, including in an already-open tab.

Actual result

View Result count Visible notes
Existing pinned tab, Live Preview 4 Note A, Note B, Note C, Note D
Same tab, Reading view 1 Note A
Newly opened tab, Reading view 4 Note A, Note B, Note C, Note D

This is a different result count, not a collapsed callout or rows hidden below the viewport.

The four notes’ due dates were checked independently from their YAML properties (se-last-reviewed plus se-interval days). They fall within the intended range of 2026-09-27 00:00 through, but excluding, 2026-09-29 00:00 (Europe/Warsaw, UTC+02:00). Each note has se-interval: 1 and se-contexts: [review].

Environment

  • Obsidian 1.13.7
  • macOS 26.6.2, arm64
  • Time zone: Europe/Warsaw (UTC+02:00)
  • Default theme; community plugins and CSS snippets enabled
  • Bases core plugin enabled; Live Preview enabled
  • The affected note was pinned and had obsidianUIMode: preview during the comparison
  • Relevant enabled community plugins include Force note view mode 1.2.2, Callout Manager, and Spaced Everything. Their involvement has not been ruled out.

Additional information

Opening the note in a fresh tab is a workaround for the observed state. The result suggests stale state in the existing Reading view, but does not establish whether the cause is result caching, date evaluation, an embedded-view lifecycle issue, or a plugin interaction. Crossing midnight has not been established as the trigger.

Potentially related reports, not confirmed duplicates:

The note titles were replaced with neutral labels. Original screenshots contain private note titles and are not attached.

The configuration below is the one involved in the observation, not a verified minimal reproduction. Display labels are translated, but the query logic is preserved:
