Default (Toggle Checkbox Status) Hotkey `Ctrl + L` doesn't work in Non-Latin Keyboard Layout

  • There are similar topics created in 2022 here and here, but I noticed something that fixed the CTRL + L hotkey for me.
  • I’ve also read the note for non-US users here.
  • The issue is that the default hotkey for toggling checkbox status Ctrl + L works when the keyboard input method is set to English (ENG), but doesn’t work in other input methods — Arabic (101) in my case.
  • I noticed that deleting the default Ctrl + L hotkey and re-adding the same hotkey combination makes it work in both layouts.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Y

Expected result

The default hotkey Ctrl + L to work in both layouts.

Actual result

Ctrl + L hotkey combination works in non-Latin layouts only if it is added manually.

We have converged on the current handling of hotkeys after many trials. It works in most (but not all!) cases. We won’t change it. Sorry!

If manually setting works for your particular layout, great!
