When I paste a long text (usually a ChatGPT answer), Obsidian automatically moves the cursor to the end of the pasted block.
But I need to start editing from the beginning, so I have to scroll up and search for where the pasted ChatGPT text actually starts.
That is normal behavior on Windows, Linux, and Mac. Changing it would completely alter what the vast majority of people expect. If you want a quick way back to the top of the text, you can hit CTRL+Home to get to the top of the page. If you want to go elsewhere in the page, it’s probably better to add a heading and just click on it to jump back up.
Just to clarify — my note is very long.
When I paste a ChatGPT answer somewhere in the middle, CTRL+Home takes me to the top of the whole file, not to the start of the pasted text.
I need to jump to the beginning of the pasted block itself, not the beginning of the entire document.
As I said: if you want to go elsewhere in the page, it’s probably better to add a heading before you paste the block of text and just click on that heading in the sidebar to get back to the top of the section.
