Use case or problem

The problem is the lack of bulk usage of the file recovery feature provided by the core “File Recovery” plugin.

In my case, the need for this feature appeared when Properties View > Rename resulted in the complete deletion of one Property instead of renaming it in 2070 files.

While I was looking for possible ways to solve this problem, I noticed that not a small number of people face the problem of complete or partial loss of files due to some errors, so I think that for such cases the function of mass file recovery will not be superfluous.

Yes, data is backed up, but it’s often not the latest version.

Proposed solution

A possible solution is to add the ability to bulk use the “File Recovery” core plugin feature in/by:

• Properties / Tags
• Search results
• Folders

… anything else?

And also choose how old the snapshot will be applied to all files that fall under the specified criteria.

Current workaround (optional)

Using community plugins and third-party software that provide bulk modification features for files, properties, moving files, and anything else that directly or indirectly, including in combination with other tools, can help with bulk “rollback” of files and their contents.

Use case or problem I want to share my notes of certain topic to my friends (copy the files to them). But it’s difficult for me because I’m not use folder for that topic at the first place. I manage my files via backlinks and tags. So selecting files manually (in Windows Explorer) will be cumbersome work, especially with a lot of files, mixed in one folder. Use case or problem I think it’s will be vary useful if I can manipulate multiple files in search pane. It can: Move selected files to folder in search pane. Thus, It’s possible to move files with tag or specific pattern. Assign tags to selected files in search pane Proposed solution Just like file explorer. Alt : Select a file Shift: Select files between two file Ctrl-A: Select all files Or “Select all files” can be default mode instead of Ctrl-A.

Use case or problem The new Properties feature is fantastic. Now that it's here, ideas are flowing. One idea could help those of us who seem often to "refactor" notes by changing metadata, etc. There is some sweet new functionality already with the new Properties feature, but the ability to edit all files in the vault with some commands would be awesome, similar to Tag Wrangler.
