Updating Links in Metadata

I want to update the links in metadata section when the file I’ve linked in the metadata is changed (name of the file change).

I use the Dataview plugin to query the files with the name. But when I use the back-links in the metadata, it does not update the name as it would in normal text. Anything I am missing or any suggestions to perform a workaround?

I use in-line fields for links, for this precise reason. (But will be following this to see if there’s any other workaround.)
