What I’m trying to do
Want to make notes from a list of words e.g.
Apples
Bananas
Watermelon
Turn into
[[Apples]]
[[Bananas]]
[[Watermelon]]
Things I have tried
Hi I would like to convert several lines of one or two-word text each into Obsidian notes. I know that in Note Refactor I can convert a paragraph or a section or a line into a separate note. But what I am asking for is different. I want multiple notes.
For e.g., here is a list
Apple
Strawberry
Banana
I would like to use some command that mass converts each of this into its own note like this:
[[Apple]]
[[Strawberry]]
[[Banana]]
without having to individually go to each line and add t…
Found this old dead article, with an alleged solution that can’t seem to work for me, when I try this solution:
Hold ALT key select the list
Type [[
The expected result would be for each of the list items to be turned into individual notes
Looking forward to someone’s help

You can use multiple cursors for this. Try double clicking on each line while holding Alt. Then press ‘[[’. It should work.

Thanks Liam it did work, although I was hoping for a solution where I could just make one selection. Can’t win’em all I guess.
I’ll wait in case there’s someone else who wants to chime in before picking a Solution

Adding to Liam’s suggestion about multiple cursors, I find the Add cursor below
convenient for this kind of thing. I tend to mess up clicking with the mouse with a lot of items .
Add multiple cursors
Type [[
<esc>
to cancel the suggestion pop-up
shift + end
(on Windows) to move to the end of the line
Backspace if necessary
Type ]]
then <esc>
to cancel the cursors
Enjoy the links!
