The sun emoji, , is displayed as a monochrome glyph. Not much more to say about it, other than that it messes with my daily weather icons in my journal.

This is a font issue with the font you are using.

is it really? i tried changing to a couple of different fonts in the Obsidian Settings/Appearance/Interface & Text Font. The emoji is still displayed as the monochrome Black Sun with Rays

Some Emojis, such as , are rendered in black and white (as Unicode variants). https://mts.io/2015/04/21/unicode-symbol-render-text-emoji/. There is currently no way to force the emoji-variant rendering in CSS in chrome https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/font-variant-emoji You could use a font that doesn’t have Unicode variants, like Roboto (so emoji variants are the only possible ones).
