The modified property name is not updated in BASES

Steps to reproduce

  • Change the name of a property in a note
  • I use the “author property” as an example and change the name to “authors.”

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Expected result

When modifying the name of a property in a note, the name of the property in the list of database properties should also be updated.

Actual result

The modified property name does not update in bases-obsidian; bases still retains the previous property name, and the modified property is added to the previous property in the list of properties.

Additional information

I forgot to mention that the name change of a property is in a note.md.

It seems that the response-solution is for the case of changes made from bases, but the changes I make are from the right sidebar, under “All Properties.”

As you see, I make the change, and yet it is not reflected in the list of properties in the table-bases, nor in the table.

Ok we understand now.
We currently do not support this.
I created a FR to track this. Please continue there.

This also happens when changing the Display Name of a formula. Then when creating a new formula which calls those results it only recognizes the original name (i.e. Untitled vs ConsequenceResult)

No, that’s it’s not the same. The display name is just the display name.
