The autocomplete when using standard links places in URL codes

Steps to reproduce

  • Turn off wiklinks
  • Create a link using the autofill function.

Happens on sandbox and my main vault.

Expected result

Creates a link like

[Example page](example page.md)

Actual result

[Example page](example%20page.md)

Per Obsidian’s documentation, I think this is expected:

Note: When using the Markdown format, make sure to URL encode the link destination. For example, blank spaces become %20 .

is correct for Markdown links. Spaces need to be encoded.

But many other markown reader and edtors work just fine without needing to URL encode.

IMHO, if it’s an Obsidian feature, that still doesn’t make it a bug …

I mean, that’s just how it works in Obsidian :blush:

You could open a Feature requests instead … and/or look if one doesn’t exist already and add “vote” (:purple_heart:)/comment …
