Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a link to another note.
  2. Open Live Preview Mode.
  3. Single click on the link.

Expected result

It takes you to the new note immediately.

Actual result

The link flashes open to edit before taking you to the new note.

This is more noticeable with links which use placeholder text.

I am not sure I understand the issue?

Let’s say you have a note which includes this (with “embedded” as a link):

All these types of files can be embedded in a note.

When you click on the link in Live Preview Mode, it flashes to open the link to edit, as such:

All these types of files can be [[Embed files|embedded]] in a note.

It only then follows the link.


It’s the visual error of “opening the link to edit” before switching to the new note which constitutes the bug.

Ok I understand. I am not even sure I consider this a bug.
