Additional information

This is more noticeable with links which use placeholder text.

I am not sure I understand the issue?

Let’s say you have a note which includes this (with “embedded” as a link):

All these types of files can be embedded in a note.

When you click on the link in Live Preview Mode, it flashes to open the link to edit, as such:

All these types of files can be [[Embed files|embedded]] in a note.

It only then follows the link.

It’s the visual error of “opening the link to edit” before switching to the new note which constitutes the bug.

Ok I understand. I am not even sure I consider this a bug, it’s more a glitch.

When I click or cmd-click on a wikilink in the new editor, it’s momentarily shown as source code before the new page is open. This looks unpolished.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add a wikilink to a page
  2. Click on it

Expected result

The rendering of the link is not changed by following it.

Actual result

The link is suddenly rendered as markdown source.
