Setting to open notes SCROLLED ALL THE WAY DOWN

Use case or problem

I often work with long notes. I want them to open by default scrolled down!
This would make perfect sense for many people… because we usually ADD text to existing notes, so always having to scroll down before typing is very frustrating.

This is particularly important on the mobile app, where scrolling manually is tedious.

Proposed solution

Whenever opening a note, open it scrolled all the way down to the end of the file.
Maybe have this behavior as a setting that one can change
1-normal behavior, like today
2-scrolled down behavior, like I’m suggesting.

Observation: remembering the cursor position is not needed. All I want is for notes to open scrolled all the way to the end. I basically NEVER want to add notes in the middle of a document, only at the very end…

Current workaround (optional)

There is no available workaround on the phone app.
The “Remember cursor position” plug in only works on Desktop, and is anyway currently broken.

Canvas - remember scroll position of notes

Use case or problem Canvas often refreshes itself - when zooming out and then back in, or I think even changing tabs and coming back. When this refresh happens, all the notes in the canvas are refreshed and scrolled back to the top. What exactly is your feature request? Do you want obsidian to remember the cursor position when you last edited the document? Or do you want an option to have the cursor at the bottom of the document? There is a workaround for the mobile app. It’s a setting in the mobile app to go to the last line. One can find it under:

Settings > Toolbar > Press Configure under Configure mobile Quick Action > Go to last line

After you activated this, you can open the note and inside of the note swipe down from the top and you go to the last line. Be aware that this setting is only available in the mobile app and not in the desktop app.

In the desktop app, Ctrl+End works on windows or Cmd+Down on mac.
