Selecting in Pdf is very buggy and sporadic

Highlight/selecting in PDF is very quirky and randomly selects everything in windows surface. Its very sporadic.

Steps to reproduce

Noticed this when I tried using Pdf++ plugin.
I disabled the plugin. And it persisted.

I tried on a fresh new vault and still the same.
Pdfs outside obsidian behave normal. You can select without it going crazy on you.

Yes. tried in new vault and sandbox.

I am experiencing this too. Both on a convertible laptop running linux, and much worse on mobile running android. It is particularly bad in landscape mode on mobile. As per this thread (Selecting text in pdf android client is broken - #5 by cMepTHuk) sort of works in portrait mode with default width (which often means the text is very hard to read it is so small), but not all that reliably.

I also have this problem. Selecting text on a pdf on the phone is very difficult the selection jumps around randomly.

Here is a screen recording in landscape mode. This is in an empty vault, except for the pdf, no plugins, all default settings.

In portrait it is usually a bit better but very imprecise, it is almost impossible to select just the text you want.

No, nothing. If I had to guess, probably this will not be fixed until the pdf annotations feature is released and obsidian updates its pdf.js, but I have no idea when that would be. From what I can see on the pdf.js github the annotations feature is being actively worked on, so maybe months rather than years…?

I am having the same problem with installers newer than 1.6.7. So with 1.7.4 and 1.7.5.
