Use case or problem

I would like to select multiple notes in the Search tab. This feature would be very convenient when for example I select notes based on a given tag and want to export them at once. While collaborating with external collaborators, it happens to me often that I would like to export only those notes marked by a particular tag or any other criterion that can be selected through a search in the Search tab of Obsidian.

Proposed solution

Implement similar solution to what already existing for the Files tab.

Current workaround (optional)

None. For the moment, I am manually right-clicking on the individual notes to be exported. This can take a lot of time if the notes are many, or if the export has to be repeated often when updating the collaborators is needed.

Related feature requests (optional)

The request is similar to the previous feature request for the Files tab.

The search feature is badly implemented in my opinion.

You have to tap the side menu, then click the bar, then search, type in the words you’re looking for and then you have to do it all back to go back to the normal structure tree.

It’d be better to have a search icon next to the settings icon, you tap it and you can search all your notes right away, you enter the note you’re interested in and when you tap the side menu again, everything is back to normal by itself, without having to do it manually.

That way it’d be easier to move from one note to the other skipping the structure tree entirely.

Nothing wrong with the points you made, except they aren’t relevant to this FR. This FR is about selecting multiple notes from the search.

From your description, it sounds like you just want to quickly search and jump to a note. You can already search your notes right away by using Quick Switcher core plugin.

And for more options, there is Quick Switcher++, Omnisearch, Vantage, Core Search Assistant, Floating Search, Better Search Views, Search Everywhere. (Some of these I’ve never tried personally.) Possibly others.

I am also missing this feature. I want to drag multiple notes from the search results into a Canvas. Instead I have to drag them one by one, which can take a lot of time.
