Seeking Tips for Improving My Note-Taking Workflow in Obsidian

Hey everyone!

I have been using Obsidian for a while now, and while I absolutely love it, I feel like there’s always room to improve my workflow. I mainly use it for managing my projects, ideas, and random thoughts, but sometimes I find myself spending too much time organizing instead of actually doing the work.

What are some tips or tricks you all use to streamline your note-taking process? Do you have any must-have plugins or systems you follow? I’m open to any suggestions, whether it’s about structuring notes, using templates, or just anything that’s helped you save time and stay organized. I’ve done a bit of research and found these articles My complete Obsidian workflow to manage my life power apps tutorial useful but would love some guidance from the experts here to make sure I’m on the right track.

Thanks in Advance

My main piece of advice is “Set concrete goals for every note you create”. This gives you a clear way to measure whether or not you need improvement and where to start if you do. If you’re creating a recipe, set a clear goal: do you want to be able to use it from your phone? do you need to track allergens? do you need to count calories?

Always ask yourself “What part of my life is this tool supposed to make easier/better?”. If you’re looking for more reading material, I’ve written a bit more on the topic here.
