Searching Excluded Folders does not work even when explicitly added to path:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Exclude a folder via the settings.
  2. Click on the folder to search inside it or add it after path: {folder-name}
  3. No results show up

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes, I tried it in the Sandbox Vault with the “Adventurer” folder

Expected result

Search results from the excluded folder should show up as per the solution specified here Add Option to search in ignored folders

Actual result

No results shown

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Make it possible to search inside excluded folders when specifically typing its name in

Confirmed in 1.8.10. I thought it might require the whole folder path, but that didn’t help (test query: Path:(2.Caring/22.Home/22.34.Obsidian.Templates) date).

As a side note (to be properly reported on the docs GitHub later), the “Excluded files” setting appears to be undocumented outside of the bit of text in the Settings page. (I searched Help for “exclude”, browsed headings of Search, browsed page names in “Files and folders”).

I did some checks and I apparently hallucinated the answer to that thread.

Adding path: never worked. I will create a FR for this
