When switching between edit and preview modes the “Search current file” functionality does not maintain its state:
- Visibility of the search bar is not preserved
- Keywords in the search bar are not preserved
Starting a search in preview mode and switching to edit mode should preserve your state so that you can easily switch back and forth while working on edits.
For example, if I am searching for a word that I want to edit, I cannot start my search in preview mode. I have to restart it in edit mode.
This could be a feature request, but this is the expected behavior coming from other apps, so I think it fits better as a bug report.
