Replace with an empty field does not work via keyboard shortcut

Once you’ve done the above, delete everything above this line.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open the sandbox vault, and in any note, find a string to remove (i.e. replace with nothing)
    • I tend to copy the string first so it shows automatically in Find/Replace. I’m not sure how much that affects things.
  • Invoke the Find/Replace feature.
  • Adding or pasting your string to the Find field, if it isn’t there already.
  • Leave the Replace field blank.
  • Press Enter to trigger the Replace action.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide?

Expected result

The found instance of the search term should be replaced with nothing, i.e. deleted.

Actual result

The found instance remains unchanged, and the selection moves to the next instance.

Additional information

  • The replace action does work if the button is clicked instead.
  • Using enter does work if there’s text in the Replace field.
  • I know this is similar to a report from 2023, but that was for the “replace all” keyboard shortcut, which I haven’t tested.

ok, thank you
