Reorder List Items with Keyboard Shorcuts

One of the features I really miss from Roam is the ability to move a list item “up” and “down” in the list using the CMD + Option + ↑ and CMD + Option + ↓. I believe it would outdent the item if you move it out of a parent list too.

Edit: This feature is available in recent builds. You can customize the shortcut for it in the hotkeys setting. Search for “Swap line up” and “swap line down”

In the same vein I would like to be able to move up or down any paragraph, heading, etc. that the cursor is currently on with a hotkey. Currently I can do cut and paste, so it’s not a great priority.

I would not limit the functioning of this hotkey to bullet items OR headings only. It would be more useful if was more general and simply swapped the current line with the one above it. This is commonly found in code text editors like sublime etc…

+1 for this feature request

This is something that would be very useful.

Another hotkey for this is Alt + ↑

Your edit says this is available, but I can’t find it in the command palette. What’s it called?

It should be called “Swap Line Up” and “Swap Line Down”

Thanks! Perhaps you are on the supporter program and have advance features - looks like this was only released publicly an hour ago in 0.7.4. Filled with bugs though, but I’ve filed a report.

Ah my bad! You’re correct, I was on an insider build without realizing that feature hadn’t been released yet.
