In reading view, if you press the shortcut command+e, it does not toggle the check box; the only time that check box in the menu actually changes to being marked as if you actually select it from the menu. This presents a problem when you try to use keyboard, shortcuts, and things like Keyboard Maestro to automate things and depends on the status of the menu. It also thoroughly confused me as to what view I was in when I first started using this app and it made no sense what was going on whether as an edit view or reading view because that check mark never updated when I use the shortcut.
