Quick add tags / tag suggestion

• frequently typed tags can be displayed in the bottom pane (which displays backlinks and word count) so that they canbe clicked to be added into into notes

similar to

Hotkey+click Tag/Link to add at cursor

It would be nice to be able to quickly add a link or tag directly from tag pane or vault explorer. This could be done with a hotkey+click or even a drag and drop. I edited the drag and drop suggestion out, but now that it’s merged and I see that others are also suggesting this, I am adding it back. Anyways, I think this would simplify the linking and tagging process. It could even work on links and tags in side by side notes. Thanks.

Tag Suggestions (Quickly add associated tags)

Tag recommendations would occur once one adds a #tag on a line, you are then prompted (like the link suggestion box) with commonly associated tags to the one you just placed (also rank tags that are associated with other links in this note, or notes that are a degree or two away). A highlight/cursor will be on the next suggestion, shift+enter will allow you to quickly add them to the line. I came across this post while researching some things for a plugin I was developing. I thought it was a neat idea, so I added a feature to configure tags on the status bar that, when clicked, add the tag to the active note’s frontmatter.

Great plugin, thank you! Could it be possible to add an option to move cursor to the “tags” property and input the tag there? Instead of inputting a tag via the modal. Similar to how the native Obsidian Add file property command behaves.

This would remove unnecessary friction and allow one:

1. To add multiple tags in a quick succession, separated only by pressing Enter instead of having to use a designated hotkey for each tag.
2. To see note and frontmatter content (including tags already in place) while inputting a tag.

This is only concerning desktop, not mobile.

I have also filed this request as an issue on the plugin’s repo.
