Problems with Obsidian on Ubuntu 26.04

Steps to reproduce

Fresh install on Ubuntu 26.04 Desktop
install Obsidian Snap
start Obsidean

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N] Y

Expected result

I expect that the directroes on my home directory will not be changed

Actual result

Empty directries are converted in simlinks linked back to then selfs

Additional information

If delete all directories, and then recreate them all is good untill I start obsidian agin and then they are converted to circulat links
Also. I tried placing a “keep” file in each of the directories.
Doing this then causes obsidean to fail to start with no error messages.

Didn’t start up at all for me on KDE version of Ubuntu 26.04 (Kubuntu) using the snap install. I tried both “snap run obsidian” and from the Application Launcher. No exit messages or anything, just no start. No process listed in Resources-Processes, either.
