PDF export of note with footnotes

I have a long note with many footnotes. When I export it to a pdf all footnotes are pasted to the end of the document. Is there a way to either:

  • have the footnotes at the end of each page?
  • have the footnotes stay inline?

This would be really useful. Thanks in advance!

Have a look at the obsidian pandoc plugin which supports at lot of export formats - and handles footnotes the way you’re asking for.
