Option for changing default formatting of internal links to subheadings

I would like a method/option of changing the default formatting of internal subheading links, i.e.

[[File#Subheading]]

to display as “Subheading” rather than “File#Subheading” by default.

I know that you can alias it with [[File#Subheading|Subheading]] but that is clunky, adds a lot of typing and seems like a common automation.

If this can easily done with a CSS snippet magic, I would probably accept that as an answer.
