I have a PDF file called ‘my_file.pdf’ in a folder within my Vault. I include it in my note by writing [[my_file.pdf]]. If I click on it the PDF opens inside Obsidian. If I right click on it and select ‘Open in default app’ than it successfully opens externally. I would like to change the default behaviour so that when I (left) click on [[my_file.pdf]] it opens in the external default app, and not inside Obsidian.

What are the news on this? This is really weird, I mean when I have a file in djvu format, it opens in the default reader, why can’t the same be done for pdf?

Still nothing? Viewing most of my PDF’s in Obsidian breaks them for some reason (can’t even open them in other viewers after clicking on them in Obsidian). So being able to disable the PDF viewer would be nice…
