Hi,
there have been already some help and feature requests for that, but as they are older than one year and I couldn’t find the actual status on that issue, I opened a new thread on it and will link on these other requests at the end of that post.
Use case or problem
If I want to open a link to a pdf not in the intern Obsidian-pdf-viewer, but with my default external pdf-Viewer, I have to right-click on the link and choose “open in default App”.
Proposed solution
In that workflow, the user has to use the mouse and has to do a lot of right and left-clicking.
To have a faster workflow, it would be very nice, if the user could
- either, change the default-behavior of the left-click on a non-.md-file to “open in default App”
- or/and, set a keyboard-hotkey to “open link in default App” (which would be my preferred alternative, because I prefer keyboard-navigation over mouse-navigation)
