Use case or problem
I have several notes which I keep pinned. In these, at the top, I link to a few headings within the note (like so: [[#Heading]]
).
Currently, when I click on the links to the headings, rather than scrolling down to the heading on the same page, it opens the note in a separate tab.
However, if the tab is not pinned, it does scroll down to the heading on the same page. This is what I would expect to happen when the tab is pinned.
p.s. Not sure if the internal-links tag is the correct one to use for this.
Proposed solution
It would be great if there was a option/setting to change the behaviour when a link to a heading/content on the same note was clicked. This would allow people to have a choice, either to always open a new tab, or always go to the heading in the current tab.
The options could be:
- Scroll to location
Current workaround (optional)
I either use the Outline tab, or just scroll down to the heading. While this works, for longer notes it would be so much better to be able to use the heading links.
