Regardless of the theme I use on Mac, it keeps resetting to default after a while.
For instance: Say I choose “Primary” theme. It works for a while. After switching to other applications like safari etc and going back to obsidian to take notes, the theme resets to the default one.
I don’t have this issue on the iphone or iPad.
This happens on my m1 MacBook Air
Am using the latest version of obsidian
Using iCloud for syncing
Would really appreciate if someone could help me out.
You might be able to stop this optimization. I don’t know how to do this on iPad. Only on Mac:
On Mac, if you go to System Preferences → Apple ID → iCloud, you will see a checkbox for “Optimize Mac Storage”. Unchecking this might prevent iCloud from deleting your files. But it will stop it from optimizing any other folders that you did want optimized.
You might find a similar setting on the iPad.
The solution here should stop this problem from happening, since iCloud is moving your .obsidian folder to the cloud and removing it from local storage — hence themes defaulting to the default theme (as the relevant css file has been removed)
Thanks a ton. Will give this a shot.
