Obsidian sync vs iCloud

I’m trying out Obsidian and will probably migrate from Bear. I’m all Apple, i.e. Mac and iPhone, so I can sync with iCloud. I have been tinkering a lot wit my test vaults, which might have been a culprit, but to me iCloud sync does not seem completely reliable.

I have seen duplicate notes on my iPhone and I have seen quite some delays.

Has anyone tried both iCloud and Obsidian sync, enough to have a strong opinion? Is Obsidian Sync much better than iCloud sync so it’s worth the cost?

This was the fix for my iCloud issues. Give it a shot!

I didn’t have this setting active, so that’s not my problem. As I said, it could be my tinkering with the test vaults. Maybe I should let this settle and move into my final vault before trying to get sync to work.
