Hello!
That would be awesome to have a notification that pops whenever Sync fails, just to make sure we don’t have to open sync everytime we upload multiple files to make sure everything happened well.
Have a nice weekend! ![]()

Related request (for logging rather than notification): Log when files won't sync due to size limits.
Currently, when adding a file to Obsidian that’s too large to sync (over 5MB on the standard plan), there is no warning or error shown other than the “Activity log”. This means that it’d be very easy to be under the impression that a file is now safely sycned across devices leading to it eventually being lost if that device/installation is wiped.
Something should indicate to the user that the file they’ve just added will not be synced so they can either upgrade their plan, reduce the file size or store the file somewhere else.
This was discussed in a previous topic (Disqus permissions are preventing me from posting even an internal link making this section seem problematic), but I really don’t see how adding a line to the log addresses this in any way seeing as it requires the user to manually check.
You should be able to post links now ![]()
