We only consider bugs that are reproducible in the sandbox vault or a vault with no third-party plugins/no css snippets/default theme.
For Linux, we only accept bug reports that are reproducible with our Appimage package under Gnome or KDE.

Can you not open a folder or a page as in a file?
Do you use Dataview and have a large vault? Use Omnisearch as well maybe? Wait for all activated plugins to finish indexing.

Thanks so much for responding! I do not use Dataview. I am able to find my notes but when I try to open them Obsidian simply will not open. I am able to pull up a blank page but thats it.
Post some screenshots, I am little lost.

I had this issue before. Try clearing your cache following the steps mentioned here:

Sometimes it happened to me, too in ways I couldn’t explain…
I did many full vault search and replace jobs and it was inevitable, of course.
But if I closed Obsidian too early. Next time I opened the program, it started indexing again.
It is possible that some plugin (do you have DataView, Omnisearch or some other plugin that also does indexing on startup?) hijacks the resources or gets entangled, I do not know. It’s quirky.
It is generally a good idea not to force-close Obs…
If you are on Mac, navigate to the config folder (the location of which is found using search of the forum, I reckon) and you’ll find the same folders that you can delete.
Possible solution if it describes the problem you’re having:
If obsidian doesn’t start properly and it shows a blank/black/white screen, It’s possible that some plugin is causing Obsidian to crash and the crash is unrecoverable.
To restore obsidian, use the following procedures on your vault. If you have multiple vaults and you don’t know which one has the problem, you need to try in all of them.
Begin
Close Obsidian
Download and reinstall Obsidian from the website
Start Obsidian.
If it load great, go to Final Steps. If it doesn’t work try Procedure A …
I think I had the same issue and I got past it by just turning restricted mode on and then turning it off. Idk what was going on, but some community plugin was probably being funny.
