No hotkey or action to "Find next occurrence" with Linux AppImage

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a note
  2. Press Ctrl+F to search for a string that appears more than once
  3. Press Esc to close the search bar
  4. Press F3 or Ctrl+F to search for the next occurrence. I assumed these were the shortcuts based on this post.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes. In the Sandbox vault, F3 does nothing, Ctrl+G opens the Graph view.

Expected result

The next occurrence of the search text to be highlighted.

Actual result

Nothing.

Additional information

I don’t see a “Find next” (or “Search next”) action:

Or hotkey to configure:

I am a little confused.

F3 is a contextual hotkey and only works when the search bar is active.

If you press ESC, you close the bar and stop searching.

Maybe my request would be better phrased as “Usability enhancement F3 and Ctrl+G should continue searching for the last search string even after the search bar is closed”.

This behavior is standard in all IDEs and editors I’ve used. Some (VSCode for example) bring up the search bar again when F3 is pressed.

Please, open a feature request for this.
