Mid-document footnotes cause inconsistent spacing before headings

Steps to reproduce

View a document with multiple headings of any level, each followed by text, and a footnote placed after at least one of the sections, in Reading mode.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes, this persists in a brand-new, blank vault.

Expected result

Document is displayed with consistent spacing between headings and whatever is above them

(Related question: Did a recent Obsidian update increase the amount of spacing before headings?)

Actual result

Document is displayed with inconsistent spacing between headings—Obsidian removes space after sections that have a footnote following them.

This is very obvious in my normal vault with custom CSS applied—spacing between verses is inconsistent:

I should add this only started occurring after I updated to v1.3.7.

I’m not sure if it was ever fixed between when this was first posted and now, but this is still happening in v 1.8.6. Verified in sandbox mode.
