Metadata changing between linked notes?

Hi all,

Similar to Nick Milo’s approach, I’ve been using “up” on my metadata to quickly navigate across my content. However, I am now having the following issue:

I have a parent note:

I navigate to one of the children:

Then, through the link in “up”, I try to go back to the parent note “History”

So, if I click off to a child note, the metadata of the parent note is changed so it’s identical to the child’s. Now the parent note is pointing to itself!

Has anyone had this issue, and is there a way to fix it? I have the latest version of Obsidian.

Properties get copied onto other notes

Steps to reproduce What happens is that from time to time, while I’m switching from one note to a previous note, the properties of the first note get copied onto the previous note. I’ve had this happen to me a number of times now and it’s crazy annoying. Not only do I lose a lot of information but I also have to put in a lot of effort to recover it. Unclear how to exactly reproduce this, it has happened several times, but not every time. Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N] Yes E…
