MacOS 14 Sonoma Obsidian not loading

After uploading MacOS 14.0 Sonoma loading of Obsidian sticks trying to load basic plugins.

There have been a few posts about Sonoma and Obsidian vaults not loading. Do you keep your vault(s) in iCloud Drive? If so, that could be the reason.

After installing sonoma vault won't load

Looking in the Obsidian iCloud folder I can see the upgrade reset all the files to be cloud only vs local. I suspect the solution is to download all the files. If you hit control on a folder you can select download now or simply enter a folder which will trigger macos to start downloading all the files in the directory. I’ll confirm that is the solve when my obsidian files finish downloading. It is moving really really slowly so was probably triggering all the time outs.

You’re right. I tried to open two vaults that I happened to have on Desktop and it worked, but my main vaults that reside on iCloud remain unreachable. Wonder how this may be solved.

Did you try what the other thread said?

I tried all kind of things, like going back and forth to the folders and subfolders at iCloud, and finally the least heavy vault came through, then slowly all the others. Thanks!
