Is Canvas all in one possible?

Hello guys, I’ve recently delved into the world of Obsidian. I’ve watched several tutorials, some of them quite long, trying to understand “why would I need Obsidian?”

Then I realized that, actually, everyone could benefit from it, because it’s not just an app for keeping notes organized, but a true copy of our brain. Reaching that level of complexity takes time, but it’s doable.

What I’m asking is whether there could be a plugin for Obsidian that allows me to have a single, all-in-one CANVAS where I can view the Twitter profiles I follow, the YouTube channels I follow, and a certain number of web pages I’m tracking in the same way.
Essentially, I’d like to have control over all the information I gather from the internet in one place. Is it possible to create such an app?

I think it would be valuable to take a step back and ask, why?

Are you sure an enormous amount of mostly external social content and data would be a true copy of one’s brain? What does that say about brains? Would it be useful to you in your thinking or work? Is it possible you are just chasing a feeling of anxiety on missing out? (Maybe not. I don’t know you. That’s an emotion I feel when I start compulsively collecting info.)

It’s just my opinion, but that sounds like an enormous amount of noise that would distract me from anything I hoped to accomplish in life.

What I would like is just a simplification of actions I already perform, I don’t see any huge chaos of information inside a canvas that handles everything I read and listen to on the web.

I know where you’re coming from. I too dream of such a second brain–the one place to collect everything I want to remember in, and take a bird’s eye view of my second brain in a grid layout.

You might want to take a look at mymind and raindrop.io:

If I could somehow merge my Obsidian vault with mymind’s drop-dead gorgeous UI, its lovely masonry layout and its web clipping capabilities (i.e. presenting social media embeds and other web content as visually appealing cards), I’d be over the moon! Alas, mymind, as it is now, is just a pretty bookmark manager, missing the capabilities of a dedicated note-taking and PKM app like Obsidian.

If I was in the business of software development, I’d take a proper crack at brining my own vision of a second brain to life–just like @silver started Obsidian to “build the perfect note-taking app™”, haha. (Hey, maybe someday! :relieved:)
