Not sure if this is in the works already, but it would be nice to have a colour or animated indicator in the corner of a page or on the main left side bar to indicate if all the working files have been saved. Sometimes I don’t remember if I hit the CTRL + S command already or if Obsidian has automatically saved the files already. It would give me a piece of mind.
I think this should be a must have feature.
There is no need for this. Obsidian automatically saves every couple of seconds.
Every couple of seconds is nowhere near acceptable, personally i would use Obsidian only for content which is related to my work, including that will go into publication, not for cooking recipes . Requiring user to hope, is straight up not how any serious editor needs to behave . Not so important where it is, but there must be indication . And it has no negative effect, and can be optional .
There is absolutely a need for this because I run obsidian on a slow linux machine, if I click onto another note right after typing, oftentimes the stuff I just wrote does not save before Obsidian opens the next one. Going back to the first note I will see stuff was cut off and not saved properly.
@ipdiot That should not happen. kindly open a BR for this and make sure you follow the bug report template.
