I noticed that words like don't count as two words.
Reproduce with:
Type won't into a blank note.
The word count (with or without Better Word Count plugin) should show 1 words but it shows 2.

I can confirm that, as of Sep 20, this is still an issue. It’s causing my word count to be off by at least fifty words.
Bumping. As of 12/22/2021 this is still a bug.
Can reproduce on all platforms on all editors with any contraction. Both dumb and smart apostrophes are implicated. Example image attached.
