In the folder specified below works but always shows "attachments"

Steps to reproduce

Try to change the Attachment folder path under Files and links setting to “In the folder specified below” and then specify a manually created folder under vault.

Expected result and Actual result

I think it changes the attachment folder correctly, but does not show the change in the settings. Shows “attachments”.

First, search the help docs and this forum. Maybe your question has been answered! The debugging steps can help, too. Still stuck? Delete this line and proceed.

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to change attachments’ dault location

Things I have tried

I’ve tried all the solutions shared here: Attachment folder path not sticking, not working for paste

Opening the sandbox vault as showed here: Screen Recording 2024-10-23 at 11.01.15 AM

Opening my vault with restricted mode on and restart

I’ve uninstalled any plugins that might interfere, like Paste Transform and Linter, but still it doesn’t work.

What can I do now?

I’m experiencing the same thing.

  • Go to change attachments.
  • Choose one of the options in the auto-suggest
  • Even if you hit enter in the field…
  • Choose a different settings window, or close settings. When you return to “Files and links”, it is set back to the previous value.

I’ll move this to bugs and mark it as “repro” (Edit: moved to existing bug report)
