Ever since some update, I can no longer zoom in on images on my PC to view them in a larger size temporarily. It used to work fine before. It still works on my phone.
I can’t find any information about this.
I’ve searched through the Obsidian settings and found nothing.
If I remember correctly, it used to be possible to enlarge an inserted image by clicking on it with the mouse arrow. Or was it a double-click? On the mobile app, you just tap on it, and the enlarged view of the image opens right away. But that wasn’t a separate plugin for this feature.
It’s supported on mobile but as far as I know this has never been a built in feature on desktop. There is a feature request for it that’s nearly as old as Obsidian is: Zoom/enlarge images in desktop version. Have you checked your plugins?
In addition to a possible plugin, Minimal (and probably some other themes) had an “image zoom” option, but it was incompatible with the new (Obsidian 1.12+) image resize feature so was removed in Minimal 8.2.
Click the icon next to the image to edit it, and then ![[Image]] will appear. If I hold the mouse cursor over it while holding down the CTRL key, I can see an enlarged version of the image.
