I accidentally Ctrl A and backspaced a whole note. Is there any way I can undo this and find my notes

First, search the help docs and this forum. Maybe your question has been answered! The debugging steps can help, too. Still stuck? Delete this line and proceed.

What I’m trying to do

so I accidentally Ctrl A and backspaced a whole note I was working on and now the screen is clear. Is there a way to redo what I just did or get back my notes

Things I have tried

I have seen this thing where they suggest I open the note then click on the three dots n while there look for history where I can find the doc before backspacing and retract that but apparently I cant seem to find history.

Thanks so much this was so effective.

Glad it worked out.

The “View Sync version history” will only show up in the three dots menu if you are using Obsidian Sync.

File recovery saves the day again. :tada:

I appreciate the help. This forum is obviously one of the best since the response and help was so quick

Press Ctrl+Z to undo when you accidentally remove or overwrite anything.
If you in the meantime move to another note you can still go back to the note in question and undo as long as you don’t restart Obsidian.

Edit: Changed redo to undo in title.
