HTML Export Plugin

This is available in the latest beta

See this thread:

thanks

Hi, I love your plugin, there is just one more feature i would like to see.
In file picker please allow export of just selected folder without its parent folders. Sometimes I would like to share with someone my notes with attachments but I would like to avoid cluttering the navigation tree with useless parent folder that are empty after export.

As an example, I would like to hide parent folders marked red and just keep the green one.

:pray:

Sweet! :clap: :smiling_face:

This is a feature in the beta version and is coming in the next stable release :slight_smile:

It just hangs at the Export stage, with any option - “Generating HTML…” with no output.

Thank you for extremely useful plugin. I tested this and found the most intuitive and simple one among all obsidian publish tools. But there are some critical bugs to hinder me in using this amazing tool as practical web page maker.

  1. List bullet is not shown properly when there is sub list
  2. List bullet is now shown at all when there is Latex object in the line.
  3. Capital character in image file name is changed to lower case so that link to image is broken.

Wow ! I didnt even knew such a plugin even exists.
Not the Idea of converting a file or vault into a hostable website, but the way it is exporting the content.

With other plugin, I was facing the issue, that if say I wanted to update the content from the website, then I would required to make the changes inside Obsidian and then run the export command again and again.

But because of the Online Web Server option in this plugin, that has become a way easier for me to host a quick website and then update it whenever i want.

Thank you @KosmosisDire for making such an amazing plugin !

Cool Plugin! But how can I export all the files linked to my note as well? It’s hard work to manually select each file linked to the note.

It doesn’t seem this has yet been added. Been about a year.

Has anyone figured out a CSS snippet or some other way to get this functionality (especially for footnotes) to work with the export? It’s basically the number one feature I’m looking for.

I use this plugin a lot, many thanks for developing it.
I would benefit from an option to export to .md files as well. I am especially after Dataview to md table conversion functionality and maybe even running Templater code on export to .md.
I would also love to run this tool from a (Microsoft Windows) command prompt to automate the expert.

Amazing plugin! :+1:

But one thing I can’t figure out: how to prevent attachments (image files) from showing up in the “menu”?

Currently using version 1.9.0-3b

Thank you, indeed, for such a useful plugin. I was going to try it, but became a bit concerned about the status of the project. According to GitHub, there are many issues reported, which of course indicates the traction, but also indicates that there could be many issues. At the same time, there is no visible progress for the last 7 months. I realize it is open source and no obligations are assumed. Anyway, I would better ask. @KosmosisDire, are you OK? Will you continue maintaining this plugin?

Great work! Exact what i am looking for!. But iI have some issues:

  1. Exporting a big vault with a 2500 files the export process hangs at about 50 % - I have to kill obsidian.
  2. I use css snippets to format callouts and tables: callouts works fine, but the snippets used for tables have no effect. I use tables for formatting images and set the table border to 0 - with this snippet:
    .NoBorder {
    –table-border-width: 0px;
    –table-white-space: normal;
    –table-header-border-width: var(–table-border-width);
    –table-column-first-border-width: var(–table-border-width);
    –table-column-last-border-width: var(–table-border-width);
    –table-row-last-border-width: var(–table-border-width);
    }
    In Obsidian this works, but in the generated html files the snippet is ignored.
    Is there an workaround?
    Thank you!

I dont know what it is, but my program keeps crashing when I’m exporting. Can be a few files or the entire project.

It sometimes gets to the end then crashes or just crashes right away on the bigger repo

Absolutely loving this plugin, and switched up my personal blog website to use this!

I see though that the last version update was in March 2024, even though there have been lots of commits since.

Can I ask if you plan on actively working on the project or if you’re looking for new maintainers?
